Didn't fill in much of The Map. And that is OK.
Starting out at Nick's Diner in West Palm Beach with Homemade Meatloaf. It's alright, the peas negated the gravy and fried onions.
Then over to Lake Worth and Ragtop Motorcars to admire past designs.
Crossing over to Palm Beach.
Wonder why they call it Royal Palm Way.
Henry Flagler's name is all over Florida. After being a founding member of Standard Oil, his buildings of railroads and grand hotels made the Sunshine State a tourist destination.
Whitehall, finished in 1902, was a gift to his wife. So much for roses.
The 75 room and 100,000 square foot Gilded Age mansion includes a library and music room.
Ballroom and billiards.
Dining room and parlour.
Heading upstairs.
To see the (14) bedrooms, (12) servant's rooms and (17) bathrooms.
The master suite has a bedroom, bathroom with cutting edge plumbing and walk in closet.
This is his custom made railcar to tour the country. I really need to step up my travel game.
And the view from the backyard looking at Palm Beach.
A short stroll away on the other side of the peninsula is the legendary The Breakers.
This is one of Flagler's, the current structure was rebuilt in 1926.
Was doing my darndest to act like I belonged.
The breakers at The Breakers.
Worth Avenue is like the Rodeo Drive of Palm Beach. Saw my fair share of Botox and Ferraris.
Continuing south, an endless stream of mansions, resorts and beach towns.
Last drove by Mar-A-Lago in 2007. Who would have known.
The nightlife district of Fort Lauderdale.
The Floridian is my kind of decor. That is Blackened Mahi Mahi.
Stuffed popsicle. Well, yes please! That is coconut with pineapple.

Good morning from Hollywood.
A real diner in Hollywood. Was giddy. The Down & Dirty Omelet is egg whites, spinach, tomato, feta and garlic.
Hollywood Beach Promenade
And to think, the morning before I was stepping over snowbanks.
Fort Lauderdale Beach Promenade
Bill and I worked together 2+ decades ago. So when we were in elementary school. Bill and his wife moved to Fort Lauderdale 3 years ago and they go on cruises as often as I visit restaurants.
An old school farm stand in Davies grown up and a Key Lime Cup so I didn't have to buy a $20 pie.
Bakery and a Jewish deli up in Boynton Beach.
Crossing to Hamilton Island.
The Elliot Museum is another legacy of a successful industrialist.
The collection is heavy on some amazing cars.
And has this neato way to store the overstock with an automated lift system with turntables.
1925 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost.
Upstairs had a general store from Salem, Mass.
At Conchy Joe's in Jensen Beach they only use fresh fish. I went with Sweet Potato Crusted Mahi Mahi.
Fort Pierce.
Vero Beach.
