Rolling into Marblehead.

A typical New England burg.

That is considered the yachting capitol of New England.

Stopped for a muffin at the aptly name The Muffin Shop.

So, pretty new.

Central Falls, outside of Providence, is the New England I am used to- double and triple deckers, dense, power lines crisscrossing.  

At the initiation of the Great Depression in 1928, a Greek immigrant opened a hamburger shop. Today, the Stanleyburger is $3.19.

 

The only purpose of this hastily arranged trip was to honor Uncle Bob.

  

A proud 20 year Air Force veteran, Uncle Bob had a military funeral.  An emotional day was made more so seeing the flag draped coffin, hearing the reverberations of the 21 gun salute and the mournful wailing of the bagpipes; accentuated by thoughtful words from cousin Roger and the Chaplin and sorrow of Aunt Lore.

 

Remembering decades of visiting Uncle Bob and Aunt Hannelore.  They were married for 64 years.
